Laamsha Young • Designer • Director • Artist
Laamie grew up in rural Vermont, the child of apotter and a blacksmith. She left her small town as a young teen and traveled until she finally settled on Sonoma County, California. She put herself through college, working in fine jewelry stores; selling, cataloging, weighing and ordering diamonds and gems. After graduating with a degree in Painting and Art History from Sonoma State, she realized her passion was for the design and fabrication of jewelry.
Blank Verse Jewelry was established in 2009. Laamie found instant success creating wild statement pieces that were sold at Anthroplogie stores, and worn by, among other celebrated stars, the Dixie Chicks and Melissa Ethelridge, and were featured in major publications.
Blank Verse Jewelry is founded on a love of ornament and design. Inspirations are culled from all parts of the world, from flea-market finds to the fine arts. Blank Verse Jewelry is committed to doing what is best for the environment and the community in every endeavor.
